The Position
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist who will create engaging, on-brand, compelling digital experiences using omni-channel marketing communication tools to attract pastors and church leaders to our brand and software.

This is a partial work from home position. Two days each week you’ll work from our offices in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. You’ll be joining an incredible team of talented people. Text In Church was named Inc.’s 2020 Best Workplaces. The hours are semi-flexible and can be discussed in the interview process, but will be full-time.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will oversee digital marketing and communication strategy, tactics, process improvement, campaign optimization, as well as CRM and project management. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEO, paid social media, email marketing, SMS marketing and content writing to execute on strategies for lead generation, social media and online presence as well as customer acquisition.

General Responsibilities
  • Direct the development, implementation, and management of online marketing strategies that will effectively drive traffic, conversion and profitability. Generate quality inbound leads from marketing activities and outside sources.
  • ​Write new content for marketing emails, paid advertisements, blog posts, video scripts, webinar scripts, digital assets and website content to maximize conversion and lead generation goals. 
  • Monitor, test and optimize performance on a daily basis of integrated marketing communication platforms such as email, SMS texting, social media and website to deliver engaging digital experiences and drive desired customer journey behaviors.
  • ​​Enhance SEO and digital media content strategies and oversee content implementation from writers and digital designers (both internal and external).
  • ​​Evaluate and implement marketing automation systems and oversee integrations with our software, website, & third party tools.
  • Administer and integrate our CRM; build workflows, nurture campaigns and monitor KPI dashboards.
  • ​​Proactive idea sharing and out-of-the-box thinking to help scale positive ROI.
  • ​​Rapidly establish good working relationships and interact professionally with co-workers and outside partners.
Skills and Attributes
  • Communication - Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate results into marketing applications. Must demonstrate a positive, confident and assertive personality when interacting with others and be able to collaborate effectively with marketing and cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Reliable - Highly motivated self-starter with ability to follow broad instructions, work with minimal supervision, prioritize and multi-task effectively in addition to being diligent and eager to learn.
  • Productive - Strong time management skills, ability to absorb, understand and apply new information quickly while leveraging available resources to complete tasks on time.
  • ​​Organization - Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and be able to prioritize daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
  • ​​Detail-oriented - High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • ​​Analytical - Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and analyze data from a variety of sources. Then apply data to optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Innovative - Ability to think outside the box, contribute in a dynamic team environment and challenge the status quo. Recommend new ways to improve KPI initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree with preferred focus on Marketing, Digital Media, Journalism, or Communications; will also consider an Associate's degree and commensurate work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in composing and deploying omni-channel digital marketing campaigns to include social media, email marketing, SMS marketing, etc. for purposes of lead generation, brand engagement and customer acquisition.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing, proofreading, and problem-solving.
  • Understanding of key performance marketing industry terminology such as ROAS, CPA, CPL, CTR, etc. preferred.
  • ​Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • ​Experience with SEO and digital media buying a big plus.
  • ​Experience with website builder tool a plus.
  • ​Experience with project management tool a plus.
  • ​Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • ​Dedicated and distraction-free office space.
  • ​Predictable, high-speed internet access.
  • ​Full-time position working Monday through Friday.

Text In Church offers an excellent benefits package and competitive compensation. Benefits include: 401K with match, profit sharing, health/dental/vision, paid vacation, paid holidays, gym allowance and house cleaning allowance. 

The salary for this position will depend on the level of experience. Salary range $39-46k annually.
