The Position 

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Next Steps Specialist to join our marketing team. This pivotal role focuses on accelerating the customer journey by connecting with individuals interested in Text In Church, leading them to attend our live demos, and following up with them. As a Next Steps Specialist, you will play an essential role in not only nurturing leads through personalized interactions but also in enhancing the overall strategy to increase demo attendance and engagement. This role requires a genuine passion for engaging with people and the ability to inspire enthusiasm and commitment toward our offerings.

This position is fully remote, giving you the freedom to work from wherever you feel most inspired! If you happen to be near Kansas City, MO or Orange City, IA, there's also a chance for hybrid work arrangements, blending the best of home and office environments. The position is full-time with semi-flexible hours, to be discussed during the interview process.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage meaningfully over the phone with church leaders. As a successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in increasing attendance at demos, and connecting with individuals who have already shown interest in our platform. This proactive approach moves beyond traditional cold calling, allowing for deeper, more impactful interactions.

General Responsibilities

As a Next Steps Specialist, your role is integral to our mission of helping churches discover and leverage our platform to foster stronger community relationships. You will elevate our outreach to create deeper connections with churches who are interested in our product, directly contributing to the growth and impact of our platform. Your focus will be on listening to the problems of church leaders and directing them to join one of our demos. You will create meaningful conversations across various channels including text and email to attract and retain church communities.  
  • Act as a connector by encouraging leads to register for a product demonstration.
  • Utilize HubSpot to make calls to our most promising leads.
  • ​Build connections with potential clients through text messages and emails.
  • Evaluate and optimize our processes weekly based on performance metrics to enhance lead participation in demonstrations.
  • Attend product demonstrations and follow up with attendees to gauge interest and gather feedback.
  • Track progress and maintain records using our proprietary software and various third-party tools.
  • Proactively seek out new sales opportunities and engage potential clients.
  • Develop and refine processes that effectively address the pain points of our leads.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with team members and external partners to support our mission of empowering churches.

  • Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable and proficient in making a high volume of phone calls daily.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Exceptional ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse individuals, especially church leaders.
  • Reliability -  Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and eager to learn with minimal supervision.
  • Productivity – Strong in managing time, quick at learning and applying new information, and completing tasks on schedule.
  • Organization – Capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines, skilled in daily task prioritization, and maintaining detailed records.​
  • Attention to Detail – Highly accurate with a strong focus on details.
  • Analytical – Exceptional at problem-solving, analyzing data, and using insights to improve marketing campaigns.
  • Innovative – Creative, open to challenging the norm, and actively contributing to team dynamics and KPI improvements.

Requirements

  • ​​High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or Communications preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, social media scheduling tools, and Google Suite.
  • Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, with a dedicated home office setup.

The salary for this position will depend on the level of experience. Salary range $36-40k annually.
