The Position
We are looking for an Event Coordinator who is a great communicator, pays meticulous attention to detail and has an eye for design. If you have a heart for helping equip churches and want to be a part of one of the largest online Church Tech Conferences, this could be a great internship for you.

This is a 12-week partial work from home position. Each week you’ll work 20 hours; one day each week you’ll work alongside the Managing Director of the ENGAGE Conference at a local coffee shop, and the remainder of your work will be work-from-home. Your work week will run Monday through Thursday. You’ll be joining an incredible team of talented people. Text In Church was named Inc.’s 2020 Best Workplaces. The hours are semi-flexible and can be discussed in the interview process, but will be 240 hours for the total duration. 

The Event Coordinator will work closely with the Managing Director of ENGAGE Conference and experience “hands on” responsibilities for both the ENGAGE and ENGAGE One Day Conferences from pre-production to delivery. 

General Responsibilities
  • Develop impactful content to be shared with our conference attendees
  • Request and manage speaker content
  • Establish a good working relationship with speakers and our ENGAGE Brand
  • ​​Organize speaker assets
  • ​​Collaborate with team members on conference communication: written, verbal, video
  • ​​Share produced graphics and videos with our Social Media Team
  • Schedule text messages and emails to ambassadors
  • ​Timestamp each of our sessions with quotes and takeaways
  • ​Review sessions and proof for errors/typos
  • ​Share content and collaborate with graphical editor to produce Conference Workbook
  • ​Write thank you notes to speakers
Skills and Attributes
  • Awesome attitude and self-reliant - ability to manage their workload and schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to explain ideas and solutions clearly, and takes notice of accurate grammar and punctuation
  • Pays meticulous attention to detail - ability to produce consistent, accurate conference sessions that have been thoroughly reviewed 
  • ​​Loves to be organized and create processes or ways something can be done easier or better
  • ​​Enjoys helping others - eager to assist and step in when they are needed and works well with others
  • ​​Has an eye for aesthetics - the ability to look at a graphic or design and recognize the need for or lack of space in certain places
  • ​Problem Solver – takes initiative; able to identify and solve complex problems independently
  • ​Works well under pressure and deadlines - ability to take a project and work quickly, while paying attention to details
  • ​Quick Learner – ability to pick up something new and implement
Qualifications
  • ​Sophomore, Junior, Senior in College
  • ​Prefered Majors - English, Communications, Design
  • Experience in G-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
Requirements
  • ​Dedicated and distraction-free office space
  • Predictable, high-speed internet access
  • ​​Part-time position working Monday-Thursday
Benefits and Salary
Text In Church offers their interns a compensation of $12/hour and is willing to work with their school to achieve credit requirements. Candidates are also eligible for future internship opportunities.
