The Position 

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Director in planning, organizing, and executing both in-person and virtual conferences that inspire and educate church leaders as well as managing our online membership site. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our events and the connectedness of our online community, contributing to the success and impact of our initiatives in the church community.

This position is fully remote, giving you the freedom to work from wherever you feel most inspired! If you happen to be near Kansas City, MO, there's also a chance for hybrid work arrangements, blending the best of home and office environments. The position is full-time with semi-flexible hours, to be discussed during the interview process.

General Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant, your role is integral to our mission of hosting impactful events that bring church leaders together to learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with the Director to plan and execute in-person and virtual conferences.
  • Coordinating logistics for events, including venue selection, vendor management, and travel arrangements.
  • Organizing the video production flow with our video editor and content team.
  • Overseeing the hosting platform for our Academy including but not limited to: community building within the platform, coordinating with the coaches, answering questions from community members, managing the monthly subscriptions, keeping content up to date, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Assisting in the development & design oversight of conference agendas, schedules, and materials.
  • Managing event registration, attendee communications, and speaker logistics.
  • Overseeing the setup and breakdown of conference spaces, both physical and virtual.
  • Handling on-site and virtual event support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assisting with post-event evaluations and reporting to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all event-related activities.

  • Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with event management software, CRM systems, and virtual event platforms.
  • Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills – Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Exceptional ability to connect and collaborate with diverse individuals, especially church leaders and event participants.
  • Problem-Solving – Skilled in identifying issues and developing effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Self-Starter - Motivation to focus on assigned tasks as well as look for other tasks and projects that need to be completed.
  • Adaptability – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected challenges with grace.

Requirements

  • ​​Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization.
  • Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Dedicated home office setup for remote work.
  • Willingness to travel as required for in-person events.

The salary for this position will depend on the level of experience. Salary range $40-45k annually.
